Blossom

In my language of flowers book.....blossom means spiritual beauty....

I love the way the centre of the blossom is the same colour as the emerging leaf, bronze against the stark white petals..

..the roses are a mothers day gift.....in a fabulous vintage 'ashes of roses' colour....ashes of roses was taken from the book 'The Thorn Birds' which I read about twenty years ago and it is the only phrase I remember from it!!! I suppose it could mean any colour but to me this is it....aged...faded...antique...vintage....beautiful...
