This is my effort for the theme ..dotty....
I had this beautiful rose and wanted to incorporate it into a picture....so I made my jug with dots on it!...
It is acrylic paints with pencil details on a heavy textured paper...
I have to thank Van Gogh for more than a little inspiration here especially with the red line detail which I have (shamefaced) borrowed...
I saw his 'Sprig of flowering blossom in a glass' (1888) at the Vincent van Gogh museum in Amsterdam last month and it just captured my heart.....
..my rose was white but because of the light where i painted it , it seemed to catch all the pale yellow and green tones so came out more of a lemon rose..

in answer to your question Fairmaiden...yes I moved ...my mum has been unwell and I am helping her out at the moment....i am looking after her garden so keep looking by as gardening is here to stay!!! oh dear my nails will never be perfect!! xxx love to sea cottage and hope the breezes are kind to you...
