Taking Flight!!



This is my entry for Create Tuesdays theme this week......


Taking flight....or a flight of fancy!!!!......


Fanciful butterflies flying around my hand....


This is a pen and ink sketch with colour wash and aqua pencils and also metallic pens...


it was lovely to just let go after all the fast pace of the past few weeks and lose myself in my imagination...

Wonderful playful illustration. Very much has the feel of "taking flight"--great job Kay. Love the wash too for some reason--I think in how it is so lightly applied and the use of metallics works well with butterflies. A lovely contribution. thanks so much! :)

It's perfect, Kay! It takes the theme so well. Real butterflies do have those shiny bits on them...the metallic is perfect for that!
