bow down

image pony tail by last exit

after the performance
you bow low
and take undying admiration
full on
black voile butterflies
flap around outstretched arms
a storm of clapping
flutters your hem
as the heavy curtain falls
you stand gathering yourself in
then  neatly fold away
until tomorrows matinee.

The image immediately reminded me of a beautiful voile gown.

  4. I love this Kay, so descriptive and yet the image prompts me to think of the sea and inky squid.
The walled garden must be starting to look a bit interesting now? Much love to you, Linda x
