seed

Resurrection reunion 2 Stanley Spencer 1945

hidden
coal black
and
hard
through countless seasons
buried aeons
in dark infinity

yearning
a change begins
tendrils stretch out
searching
curling
longing for the light
above

pushing
moon phases
tell of spring
gentle breezes
bring skies of seamless blue
nights of gentle rain
we are reborn.

The miracle of a tiny seed turning into a flower, vegetable, grass or grain never ceases to amaze me.
