its 6am and the rain is crashing against the window

i am thankful that this is not a week ago....
how is that.....one day ago....one week ago, then it will be a month,a year.....
time is such an illusionist....
miss magpies wedding is for her to tell
for my part i have multitudes of emotions.....
gratitude that i managed to stand up and say my speech....
how i worried about that..but it was fine...i could feel the support of people who had known me for an hour, a day, a year, a lifetime......

sadness....that there were those missing..the thread still connected and i hoped from high in the starlit rafters they looked down, smiling.....
loss....a chapter ends......a slight shift in the dynamic....
