you may think me as cold as marble
smooth toned and chalk
but i have many secrets
held close inside me
waiting years
for the right one
to whisper them too.

For the other poets work go to The mag and talk a look.
Interesting how the words trickle down the left side of the picture.
ReplyDeleteInteresting-Chalk made me stop and think! Soapstone because it would be easy to carve; you might then need chalk for pure 'white' coloring.
ReplyDeleteYou brought a wistfulness to the image...
ReplyDeletesoftly sentimental and somehow sad.
ReplyDeleteyes, this would be Salvador Dali...
ReplyDeleteIt is eccentric and wonderful.
Nothing cold about this, Kay
ReplyDeleteCool placement of words. Cool as marble. I too found this sad, as is the sculpture, sad and mysterious, with or without knobs.
ReplyDeleteIt's been a long time to wait, but if the right one comes along- the whisper will make it right!
ReplyDeleteTis sad but lovely. Sometimes the wait is worth it.
ReplyDeleteAnna :o]
Bittersweet and beautiful...
ReplyDeleteNo words from a statue - a mould..one thinks lifeless - but thoughts of what she would say if able to speak. Poignant.
