Your thousand seeds
lighthouse dandelions by Jamie Wyeth
blow
oh nodding heads
your thousand seeds
cast on the sultry
wind of time
yellows clash
a field turns
butter to silk
windmills turn slowly
tick
tock
we grind down
hard
and then watch
the evening light
and glow worms
shiver
admist fairy dust
which flies by
and we catch wishes
as if they mattered
we are wrapped in the darkening clouds
drifting
entwined
the flash of light now
holds us
as we dance close
strobe light
bends our moves
into people we no longer recognize.
